VoiceLab 18+ Consent, Biometric & Voice Data Notice, and Permitted Use
Effective Date: August 6, 2026 Version: 2026-08-06-V3
VoiceLab is an optional voice-generation feature provided by Real Labs Development ("Real Labs," "RealLabs," "we," "us") through RealVideoCreator.
VoiceLab is strictly for users who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and is strictly self-voice only.
VoiceLab is not required to use the rest of RealVideoCreator.
By enrolling in or using VoiceLab, you acknowledge and agree to the requirements in this notice. Where applicable law requires express, explicit, written, or other specific consent for voice, biometric, sensitive, or specially protected personal information, VoiceLab requires an affirmative electronic consent process before recording or enrollment begins.
1. Age Requirement
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to record, upload, enroll, clone, synthesize, process, or generate using VoiceLab.
There is no parent, guardian, employer, customer, spouse, partner, account-owner, or other third-party exception to this requirement.
A person under eighteen (18) years old may not use VoiceLab even if a parent, guardian, employer, or other person would otherwise authorize or consent to the use.
VoiceLab may be disabled or access may be refused if Real Labs reasonably believes that the age requirement has not been satisfied.
VoiceLab's 18+ requirement is a product eligibility rule and does not replace any additional privacy, consumer-protection, or data-protection requirements that may apply based on a user's location.
2. Strictly Self-Voice Only
VoiceLab may be used only with your own voice.
You may submit, record, upload, enroll, clone, synthesize, process, or generate only from your own natural voice.
Your VoiceLab profile must be created from recordings of your own voice and must remain associated with your own authenticated RealVideoCreator account.
You may never submit or use another person's voice through VoiceLab.
This is an absolute product rule.
Another person's permission, consent, written authorization, contract, employment relationship, customer relationship, family relationship, or other approval does not create an exception.
Even if another person personally asks you to clone or enroll their voice, VoiceLab does not permit you to do so.
3. Third-Party Voices Are Prohibited
You may not submit, upload, record, enroll, clone, imitate, synthesize, process, or generate from the voice of any person other than yourself.
This prohibition includes, without limitation, the voices of:
- Celebrities;
- Public figures;
- Political figures;
- Government officials;
- Customers;
- Clients;
- Employees;
- Employers;
- Coworkers;
- Contractors;
- Performers;
- Voice actors;
- Influencers;
- Friends;
- Relatives;
- Spouses;
- Partners; and
- Every other person other than yourself.
You may not use recordings obtained from social media, video platforms, podcasts, television, radio, telephone calls, meetings, interviews, public appearances, private recordings, datasets, websites, archives, or any other source to create or assist in creating a VoiceLab profile for another person.
You may not use a recording supplied directly to you by another person for VoiceLab enrollment, even if that person claims to consent to its use.
4. No Third-Party Consent Exception
For avoidance of doubt, VoiceLab's self-voice restriction is stricter than a rule that merely requires permission from the speaker.
Third-party consent is not sufficient.
You may not use another person's voice even when:
- The person expressly authorizes the use;
- The person signs a release;
- The person gives written consent;
- The person is your employee or contractor;
- The person is your customer or client;
- The person is your spouse, partner, friend, or family member;
- The person owns or controls the underlying recording;
- You own copyright or other rights in the underlying recording;
- You have a contract permitting use of the recording; or
- Applicable law might otherwise permit use of the recording for some other purpose.
VoiceLab remains strictly self-voice only.
5. Purpose and Design of VoiceLab
VoiceLab is designed to create a private synthetic narration profile derived from the authenticated user's own voice.
VoiceLab may use the user's private voice profile to generate synthetic narration from scripts and supported RealVideoCreator controls, including supported narration timing and speech-rate controls.
VoiceLab is not designed or offered as:
- A biometric identification service;
- A voice-authentication service;
- An identity-verification service;
- A security-access service; or
- A mechanism for determining whether an unknown voice belongs to a particular person.
You may not use VoiceLab to authenticate identity, defeat authentication systems, gain unauthorized access, or establish the legal identity of a speaker.
6. Prohibited Uses
VoiceLab may not be used for:
- Impersonation;
- Deception;
- Fraud;
- False endorsement;
- False attribution;
- Identity theft;
- Harassment;
- Threats or intimidation;
- Identity-control bypass;
- Unauthorized authentication;
- Voice-authentication bypass;
- Circumventing security or verification systems;
- Social-engineering attacks;
- Financial fraud;
- Government or law-enforcement impersonation;
- Misrepresenting who is speaking;
- Falsely representing that another person made a statement;
- Falsely representing that another person approved, endorsed, sponsored, authorized, or participated in content;
- Voter suppression;
- Unlawful election interference;
- Deceptive political impersonation;
- Fraudulent political communications;
- Unlawful or materially deceptive political manipulation;
- Violating privacy or publicity rights;
- Violating intellectual-property rights;
- Violating confidentiality obligations;
- Violating contractual rights;
- Creating unlawful or materially deceptive content; or
- Violating applicable law or another person's rights.
Nothing in these political-use restrictions prohibits lawful political speech, commentary, advocacy, parody, satire, criticism, or other protected expression that complies with applicable law and all other VoiceLab requirements.
You may not attempt to defeat or circumvent VoiceLab's age, consent, enrollment, account, technical, security, self-voice, provenance, AI-transparency, or misuse-prevention controls.
7. Voice Information Processed
VoiceLab may process information including:
- Voice recordings;
- Enrollment recordings;
- Audio samples;
- Technical characteristics of your voice;
- Acoustic characteristics;
- Embeddings;
- Feature vectors;
- Templates;
- Voice profiles;
- Voice-model information;
- Generated narration;
- Scripts submitted for generation;
- Generation and narration settings;
- Consent records;
- Consent-version records;
- Enrollment records;
- Account identifiers;
- Device information;
- IP address;
- Security information;
- Processing records;
- Abuse-prevention information; and
- Audit records.
Real Labs does not design or use VoiceLab for biometric identification, identity authentication, access control, or determining whether an unknown voice belongs to a particular person.
However, technical representations derived from a voice may, depending on their technical characteristics, capabilities, purpose, use, and applicable law, constitute personal information, biometric information, a biometric identifier, biometric data, sensitive personal information, special-category data, or another legally protected category of information.
Real Labs does not represent that every voice embedding, feature vector, template, profile, or model is technically incapable of contributing to identification.
Instead, Real Labs limits its own use of VoiceLab information to the purposes described in this notice and does not use VoiceLab for biometric identification or authentication.
8. Purposes of Voice Processing
Real Labs processes VoiceLab information only for legitimate purposes connected with providing, operating, maintaining, supporting, and protecting VoiceLab, including:
- Creating your private VoiceLab profile;
- Generating narration requested by you;
- Maintaining your VoiceLab profile;
- Providing requested VoiceLab functionality;
- Processing scripts and generation settings;
- Troubleshooting errors;
- Maintaining security;
- Preventing unauthorized or abusive use;
- Enforcing the self-voice-only requirement;
- Detecting suspected misuse;
- Maintaining required consent and audit records;
- Responding to support requests;
- Complying with applicable law;
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal rights; and
- Protecting Real Labs, users, and third parties.
Real Labs will not materially expand the purposes for which covered biometric or sensitive voice information is processed without providing any additional notice or obtaining any additional consent required by applicable law.
9. No Unrelated Sensitive Profiling
VoiceLab is designed for synthetic narration and related service functionality.
Real Labs does not intentionally use VoiceLab voice information to infer unrelated sensitive characteristics such as:
- Health or medical conditions;
- Race or ethnicity;
- Religious beliefs;
- Political beliefs or political affiliation;
- Sexual orientation;
- Genetic characteristics; or
- Other sensitive characteristics unrelated to providing and securing VoiceLab.
VoiceLab information will not be repurposed by Real Labs for biometric authentication, unrelated identification, or unrelated sensitive profiling without an appropriate lawful basis, any required notice, and any consent required by applicable law.
10. Express and Explicit Consent
Before VoiceLab recording or enrollment begins, you must affirmatively consent to the processing described in this notice.
Consent to VoiceLab is separate from merely creating a RealVideoCreator account or agreeing to the general RealVideoCreator Terms of Service.
Where applicable law requires express, explicit, informed, written, or electronically signed consent for biometric or other sensitive information, the VoiceLab enrollment process is intended to obtain that consent through an affirmative electronic action.
Your consent record may include:
- Your RealVideoCreator account identifier;
- The consent language presented to you;
- The applicable consent version;
- Date and time of consent;
- Relevant device or security information; and
- Your affirmative electronic acceptance.
Silence, inactivity, continued browsing, or merely possessing a RealVideoCreator account does not constitute VoiceLab consent.
11. Required VoiceLab Acknowledgements
Before VoiceLab recording or enrollment begins, you must affirmatively acknowledge that:
- You are at least eighteen (18) years old.
- The voice being recorded, uploaded, or submitted is your own voice.
- VoiceLab is strictly self-voice only.
- You may not enroll, clone, synthesize, process, or generate another person's voice.
- Another person's permission or consent does not create an exception to the self-voice-only rule.
- VoiceLab will process voice recordings and technical representations derived from your voice.
- Some VoiceLab information may qualify as biometric, sensitive, or specially protected personal information under applicable law.
- You consent to the collection, processing, storage, and use described in this notice and the RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy.
- Authorized service providers may process VoiceLab information where necessary to provide infrastructure, storage, processing, security, support, or related services.
- You will not use VoiceLab for impersonation, deception, fraud, authentication bypass, unlawful political manipulation, or violation of another person's rights.
- You understand that withdrawing required VoiceLab consent may disable VoiceLab functionality.
- You consent to Real Labs maintaining an electronic record of your VoiceLab consent and acknowledgements.
The VoiceLab API, enrollment systems, and processing workers may reject recording, enrollment, processing, synthesis, or generation when required consent is missing, revoked, invalid, expired, or associated with an outdated required consent version.
12. VoiceLab Is Voluntary
VoiceLab is optional.
You do not need to enroll in VoiceLab to use RealVideoCreator functionality that does not require VoiceLab processing.
If you choose not to provide VoiceLab consent, VoiceLab will not be available to you.
Refusing VoiceLab consent alone will not prevent you from using unrelated RealVideoCreator functionality for which you are otherwise eligible.
13. Private Profiles and No Voice Marketplace
VoiceLab profiles are intended to remain private to the authenticated RealVideoCreator account belonging to the person whose own voice was enrolled.
Real Labs does not operate a public VoiceLab voice marketplace.
You may not:
- Sell;
- Trade;
- Rent;
- Assign;
- Transfer;
- Sublicense;
- Publish;
- Distribute; or
- Otherwise make available
a VoiceLab profile as a standalone voice asset.
You may not transfer your VoiceLab profile to another account or permit another person to use your VoiceLab profile as their own voice.
14. No Sale or Commercial Transfer of Biometric Information
Real Labs does not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from the transfer of covered biometric identifiers or biometric information as standalone personal data.
VoiceLab information is processed for the purposes described in this notice and the RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy.
Covered biometric information will not be disclosed to another party except:
- To authorized service providers performing permitted functions on behalf of Real Labs;
- With your consent where consent is legally required;
- Where disclosure is required or authorized by applicable law;
- Where necessary to respond to valid legal process; or
- As otherwise permitted by applicable privacy or biometric law.
15. Service Providers
VoiceLab may rely on hosting, storage, database, infrastructure, security, AI-processing, email, support, or other technical service providers.
Where a provider processes voice, biometric, or other personal information on behalf of Real Labs, Real Labs will use contractual, confidentiality, security, and data-protection protections as required by applicable law and appropriate to the services being performed.
Real Labs does not authorize a service provider to use VoiceLab information for an unrelated independent purpose merely because that provider processes information on behalf of Real Labs.
Additional information about categories of providers and international processing is provided in the RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy.
16. Security
Real Labs uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect VoiceLab information against unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.
Safeguards may include:
- Access controls;
- Authentication controls;
- Encryption where appropriate;
- Private file-storage and delivery controls;
- Service and network isolation;
- Logging;
- Audit records;
- Abuse-prevention controls; and
- Restricted administrative access.
Where applicable law imposes a specific security standard for covered biometric information, Real Labs will apply safeguards meeting the legally required standard.
No Internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
17. Biometric Retention and Destruction Policy
This Section 17 is intended to serve as Real Labs' publicly available VoiceLab retention schedule and destruction guidelines for VoiceLab information that constitutes a biometric identifier or biometric information under applicable law.
17.1 Active VoiceLab Profiles
Voice information reasonably necessary to operate an active VoiceLab profile may be retained while:
- You maintain the VoiceLab profile;
- Required consent remains valid;
- The information remains necessary to provide requested VoiceLab functionality; and
- Retention remains permitted by applicable law.
17.2 When the Processing Purpose Ends
Covered biometric identifiers and biometric information will be scheduled for permanent destruction when the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining that information has been satisfied.
This may occur when:
- You delete your VoiceLab profile;
- You submit a verified deletion request;
- You withdraw consent necessary for VoiceLab processing;
- VoiceLab is permanently disabled for your account;
- Your account is permanently terminated and the information is no longer required;
- Real Labs discontinues VoiceLab and continued retention is unnecessary; or
- The information is otherwise no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
17.3 Active-System Deletion
After a valid deletion request, applicable withdrawal of consent, or another event ending the processing purpose, covered VoiceLab biometric information will ordinarily be scheduled for deletion from active production systems within 30 days, unless:
- Applicable law requires a shorter period;
- Valid legal process requires preservation;
- A specific legal obligation requires limited continued retention; or
- Applicable law otherwise permits continued retention.
17.4 Backup Deletion
Residual copies contained in protected backups will ordinarily be deleted, overwritten, or rendered permanently inaccessible through the normal backup lifecycle within 90 days, unless applicable law requires earlier destruction or legally requires continued retention.
During this limited backup period, backup information will not be returned to ordinary active processing except where reasonably necessary for disaster recovery, security, system integrity, or legal compliance.
If information is restored from backup, previously valid deletion instructions will be reapplied.
17.5 Maximum Retention Under Applicable Biometric Law
Where applicable law establishes a maximum biometric-retention period, Real Labs will comply with that period.
For biometric identifiers or biometric information subject to the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, Real Labs' policy is to permanently destroy covered information when the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining it has been satisfied or within three (3) years after the individual's last interaction with Real Labs, whichever occurs first, except to the extent continued preservation is required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
17.6 Records Retained Separately
Deletion of an underlying voice recording, template, profile, or model does not necessarily require deletion of every non-biometric legal or business record associated with your account.
Real Labs may retain limited information reasonably necessary for:
- Demonstrating that consent was obtained;
- Documenting consent withdrawal;
- Demonstrating that deletion was performed;
- Security;
- Fraud prevention;
- Accounting;
- Dispute resolution;
- Enforcement;
- Regulatory compliance;
- Legal obligations; or
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Where reasonably practicable, those retained records will not contain the underlying reusable voice recording or biometric voice profile.
18. Withdrawal of Consent
Where VoiceLab processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent through available account controls or by contacting Real Labs.
Withdrawal does not make processing that was lawfully performed before withdrawal unlawful.
Because VoiceLab cannot function without processing voice information, withdrawing required VoiceLab consent may result in:
- VoiceLab being disabled;
- Your VoiceLab profile being deleted;
- Future VoiceLab generation requests being rejected; and
- Covered VoiceLab information entering the applicable deletion process.
Withdrawing VoiceLab consent does not by itself cancel an unrelated RealVideoCreator subscription.
19. Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, which may include rights to request:
- Confirmation that information is being processed;
- Access;
- Correction;
- Deletion;
- A copy of personal information;
- Data portability;
- Restriction of processing;
- Withdrawal of consent;
- Objection to certain processing;
- Information about international-transfer safeguards; or
- Review or appeal of certain privacy decisions.
These rights may be subject to legal limitations or exceptions.
Real Labs may reasonably verify your identity before responding to a request involving sensitive VoiceLab information.
Privacy requests may be submitted using the contact information in Section 27 or through other privacy controls made available through RealVideoCreator.
20. International Processing and Transfers
Real Labs Development is based in the United States.
VoiceLab information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where Real Labs or authorized service providers operate.
Where applicable law restricts international transfers of personal information, Real Labs will use a legally recognized transfer mechanism where required.
For transfers governed by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, such mechanisms may include:
- A European Commission adequacy decision;
- European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses;
- Other appropriate safeguards permitted by Articles 46 or 47 of the GDPR; or
- A legally available derogation under Article 49 where applicable.
Where applicable, Real Labs will assess whether supplementary contractual, organizational, or technical safeguards are required for a transfer.
For transfers governed by United Kingdom data-protection law, mechanisms may include:
- UK adequacy regulations;
- The United Kingdom International Data Transfer Agreement;
- The United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum to European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses;
- Another legally recognized safeguard; or
- A legally available exception where applicable.
You may contact Real Labs at legal@realvideocreator.com to request additional information about safeguards applicable to international transfers of your personal information, including information about how to obtain a copy of applicable contractual safeguards, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
The RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy contains additional information about international processing.
21. AI-Generated Audio and Transparency
VoiceLab generates synthetic audio.
Where applicable law requires Real Labs, as the provider of an AI system generating synthetic audio, to implement machine-readable marking, detectable provenance information, metadata, watermarking, technical signals, or another legally required method for identifying AI-generated or manipulated content, Real Labs will implement applicable measures consistent with the technical requirements and exceptions provided by law.
You may not intentionally remove, falsify, disable, circumvent, or defeat a legally required AI-origin marking or technical provenance mechanism for the purpose of concealing the artificial origin of VoiceLab-generated content.
Depending on how and where VoiceLab-generated audio is used, applicable law may separately require you to disclose that content has been artificially generated or manipulated.
You are responsible for complying with disclosure obligations that apply to your publication, distribution, broadcast, advertising, political communication, commercial communication, or other use of generated audio.
You may not represent VoiceLab-generated narration as an authentic recording of words you actually spoke when doing so would be fraudulent, materially deceptive, or otherwise unlawful.
22. Generated Narration
VoiceLab-generated narration is synthetic audio created using a profile derived from your own voice.
You remain responsible for:
- Scripts you submit;
- Statements contained in generated narration;
- Content in which narration is used;
- AI-generated-content disclosures applicable to your use;
- Copyright and intellectual-property compliance;
- Advertising and endorsement disclosures;
- Political or election-law compliance;
- Consumer-protection compliance; and
- Compliance with other applicable law.
The fact that VoiceLab-generated narration is based on your own voice does not permit unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, or abusive use.
23. Account Security and Access
You are responsible for maintaining control of your RealVideoCreator account and credentials.
You may not knowingly allow another person to access your account for the purpose of:
- Using your VoiceLab profile as their own;
- Generating audio represented as another person's voice;
- Enrolling another person's voice;
- Avoiding VoiceLab eligibility requirements;
- Avoiding required consent;
- Circumventing self-voice protections; or
- Circumventing VoiceLab safeguards.
You should promptly notify Real Labs if you reasonably believe your account, voice recordings, or VoiceLab profile have been accessed or used without authorization.
24. Enforcement
Real Labs may restrict, suspend, disable, or permanently terminate VoiceLab access where Real Labs reasonably believes:
- A third-party voice was submitted or used;
- A user is under eighteen (18) years old;
- Required consent is absent;
- Required consent has been withdrawn;
- Consent information is materially false or misleading;
- VoiceLab is being used for impersonation or deception;
- VoiceLab is being used for fraud;
- VoiceLab is being used for unauthorized authentication;
- VoiceLab is being used for unlawful election interference or materially deceptive political manipulation;
- A user attempted to defeat self-voice safeguards;
- A user attempted to defeat required AI-origin markings;
- A user attempted to bypass security or consent controls;
- Account activity creates a material legal or security risk;
- Applicable law requires restriction; or
- These VoiceLab requirements or the RealVideoCreator Terms of Service have been materially or repeatedly violated.
Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination as described in the RealVideoCreator Terms of Service.
25. Relationship to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
VoiceLab is also governed by the:
- RealVideoCreator Terms of Service; and
- RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy.
These VoiceLab requirements supplement those documents.
If any RealVideoCreator provision could reasonably be interpreted as allowing another person's voice to be submitted, recorded, uploaded, enrolled, cloned, synthesized, processed, or generated through VoiceLab, the VoiceLab self-voice-only rule in this document controls.
No general statement about user permissions, licenses, releases, consent, uploaded content, or third-party authorization creates an exception to VoiceLab's self-voice-only rule.
Another person's consent never authorizes that person's voice for VoiceLab.
26. Changes and Renewed Consent
Real Labs may update this notice prospectively as laws, technology, service providers, security requirements, or VoiceLab functionality change.
The current version and effective date will be made available through RealVideoCreator.
Where a material change requires renewed consent, VoiceLab may require you to review and affirmatively accept an updated consent version before additional recording, enrollment, processing, synthesis, or generation is permitted.
Prior consent does not automatically authorize a materially different use of covered voice or biometric information when applicable law requires new consent.
VoiceLab processing systems may reject requests associated with an outdated consent version where renewed acceptance is required.
27. Controller, Privacy Contacts, and International Rights

European Union Representative
United Kingdom Representative
Where UK data-protection law requires Real Labs to designate a representative in the United Kingdom, the representative's identity and contact information will be published in the RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy and/or RealVideoCreator legal pages.
Nothing in this notice eliminates any obligation to designate a UK representative where designation is required by applicable law.
Supervisory Authority Complaints
Individuals located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction providing such a right may have the right to submit a complaint concerning personal-information processing to the data-protection or privacy supervisory authority having jurisdiction over them.
You may contact Real Labs first so that we have an opportunity to address your concern, but contacting Real Labs does not limit a legal right to contact a supervisory authority directly.
The RealVideoCreator Privacy Policy or privacy-rights page may provide additional information regarding applicable privacy authorities and methods for exercising privacy rights.
VoiceLab Core Rule
VoiceLab is 18+ and self-voice only.
You may use VoiceLab only with your own voice.
You may never enroll, clone, synthesize, process, or generate another person's voice through VoiceLab.
Another person's permission or consent does not create an exception.
